Windsor police have arrested a 62-year-old man for child luring after he allegedly met a young student online then went to her school to see her.
Police received a complaint April 21 from a local school about a man who showed up to meet with a student. It turned out that the man met the 13-year-old girl online.
The Windsor Police Internet Exploitation Unit (ICE) started investigating. Police said the man had been chatting with the girl online, and the discussions were explicit. It also involved “elements of luring,” police said.
Officers arrested a suspect on Monday.
Norman Gelinas, 62, of Windsor, is charged with luring a child under the age of 16 years.
