An Essex driver is facing a charge of impaired driving after his vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with another vehicle on County Road 34 in Kingsville.
OPP said the incident happened shortly before 1:15 p.m. Saturday between Marsh and Cameron sideroads.
According to police, the accused was behind the wheel of a black Chevy Avalanche heading west on County Road 34 when his pickup truck went past the centre line and struck an eastbound Chevy Uplander.
The 36-year-old Essex man was the only person in the Chevy Avalanche. Police said he “exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.”
He faces one count each of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having blood alcohol content exceeding 80 milligrams.
He’s been scheduled to appear in court in Windsor on July 26.
