An irate Amherstburg man armed with two swords was brought down by a stun gun over the weekend.
Amherstburg police responded to a residence on Kemp Street shortly after 3 p.m. on Saturday, when they encountered a man in a “state of anger and rage.”
Police said officers attempted to speak to the man but he fled to the basement of the home.
After talking to the man from the top of the stairwell, police said the man approached from the bottom of the stairs with two large swords.
Officers deployed a stun gun then placed the man under arrest.
The 48-year-old man has been charged with possessing dangerous weapons.
