Someone who ignored a red light in south Windsor on Monday night caused a crash into a hydro pole — and Essex County OPP want to know who.
Provincial police and Essex-Windsor EMS responded around 10:20 p.m. to a collision at the intersection of Cabana Road West and Highway 3 (Huron Church Road).
A car reportedly entered the intersection against a red light — causing another vehicle that was heading north on Highway 3 to swerve off the road and hit a hydro pole.
The hydro pole was struck with enough force to knock it down. The driver of the vehicle that hit the pole suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver who caused the crash failed to remain at the scene. The suspect automobile was described as a black sedan or hatchback, last seen heading east on Cabana Road.
Anyone with information about this incident or the driver of the suspect car is encouraged to contact Tecumseh OPP at 519-735-2424.
