Windsor police are hoping the public might have information about a man who forcefully broke into a home and stole collectible sports cards, among other personal property.

The crime happened at a residence in the 3500 block of Bruce Avenue on Jan. 6 shortly before 7:40 p.m.

A surveillance camera recorded the incident. A man smashed a rear door to get inside the home, then roamed the rooms gathering up property — including the sports cards.

The video shows the man purposefully moving furniture and opening boxes in order to take items and put them in a plastic bag.

The Windsor police property crimes unit is investigating this break-in.

The suspect is described as a white male who appears 25 to 35 years in age, perhaps five-foot-10 to six feet in height. At the time of the crime, he had a goatee or facial stubble, and wore a dark winter jacket with a fur-lined hood and a white stripe on the back of the hood. He also wore light-coloured gloves.

Anyone with information about this person or this crime is encouraged to call investigators at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350. Anonymous tips can be made via Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 or www.catchcrooks.com.
