The man who police believe is responsible for robberies at five different Subway restaurants in Windsor is back in town — and facing charges.
Joshua Dumanski, 27, made a court appearance in Windsor on Friday and remains in custody.
He’s been charged with five counts of robbery.
Dumanski was apprehended on Wednesday evening in the Toronto area as he disembarked a Greyhound bus. Police are crediting information-sharing on social media for the timely arrest.
Dumanski is accused of robbing the Subway location at 7847 Tecumseh Rd. E. on July 28, at 1107 Ouellette Ave. on July 30, and at 204 Lauzon Rd., 4551 Tecumseh Rd. E., and 11500 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Aug. 12.
Security cameras captured the brazen nature of the crimes. In each case, the robber went directly to the cash register and demanded money.
Although the robber at times wore a baseball cap or sunglasses, he did not mask his face.
No weapon was seen and no one was hurt in any of the incidents.
Dumanski is originally from Sault Ste. Marie.
Police haven’t disclosed what motivated the robberies, or why Subway restaurants were targeted.
The investigation continues.
