Windsor police have seized items that investigators believe were involved in the murder of a 73-year-old man in the city’s west end earlier this year.

On Tuesday, members of the major crimes branch executed a search warrant on a residence in the 500 block of St. Joseph Street.

There, investigators found a number of pieces of evidence that they feel are associated with the death of Leonard Damm of Windsor.

The address on St. Joseph Street has since been released and the investigation continues.

Damm was found deceased at a house in the 3200 block of Bloomfield Road during the early hours of Feb. 18.

Windsor police received a report of an injured man at the home around 4 a.m. that morning.

The case became a homicide investigation due to the results of an autopsy on Damm’s body.

Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to call detectives at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830.

Anonymous tips can be made via Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 or www.catchcrooks.com.
