Windsor police are crediting the business manager of a storage facility for information that has resulted in break-in charges against one of the facility’s renters.
Police said the manager of the business — located in the 800 block of Walker Road — contacted them on Monday to report that someone had broken into multiple storage units on the property.
The manager contacted police again on Wednesday after thefts from two more units.
However, the manager had something else to share: A man known to police was on the property — and renting a unit of his own.
The manager noticed that this customer’s unit contained some of the items that had been taken in the previous break-and-enter incidents.
Equipped with this information, Windsor police officers attended the business, located the suspect, and arrested him on the spot.
Justin Brouillard, 34, of Windsor, now faces one count of breaking and entering, and two counts of possession of stolen property (value under $5,000).
