Windsor police say there are two suspects — one still unidentified — who have yet to be arrested in connection with the group assault that smashed the glass of the downtown Pizza Pizza location in May.

As of Wednesday, 21-year-old Ali Bitar of Tecumseh remained wanted by police on a charge of aggravated assault.

Investigators continue to ask the public for tips on another suspect — an olive-skinned male with a slender build, possibly 20 to 25 years old, who had short dark hair and a goatee at the time of the crime.

A security camera image of the last unidentified suspect still sought by Windsor police in relation to a group assault incident that smashed the glass of the downtown Pizza Pizza location on May 26, 2018.

Two other Windsor suspects have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault: Michell Demarse, 19, who was located on July 19, and Aymane Sabbah, 22, who was located on May 27.

Investigators believe the four suspects punched and kicked two male victims in front of the Pizza Pizza at 294 Ouellette Ave. during the early morning hours of May 26, around 2:50 a.m.

The group assault was so violent that it sent the two victims through the glass storefront of the business, leaving one victim with serious injuries and the other with minor injuries.

A video recording of the attack circulated on social media.

Windsor police encourage anyone with information on the whereabouts of Bitar or the fourth suspect to contact the Major Crimes Branch at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830.

Anonymous tips can be shared via Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 or www.catchcrooks.com.
