Windsor police have charged two women with aggravated assault after a reported stabbing overnight in the 300 block of University Avenue East that sent one woman to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said just after midnight officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Lincoln Road where they found a 19-year-old woman suffering from several injuries. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said it was a serious assault but wouldn’t confirm that it was a stabbing.
Officers investigating the incident determined it had taken place in an apartment on University Avenue East. They do not believe it was a random act.
Windsor residents Samantha Wilson and Nicole May, both 21 years old, have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
