Windsor police are looking for a Tim Hortons customer who ordered and paid for a beverage — then announced that he was robbing the place.
The crime happened at the Tim Hortons at 1501 Lauzon Rd. at 2:35 a.m. Thursday. Security cameras show that the man entered the business like a normal customer, making no attempt to conceal his identity.
After ordering and paying for a drink, the man suddenly demanded all the cash in the register and declared it was a robbery.
The employee complied, and even handed over the register’s coins.
After pocketing the money, the robber casually exited the business — still carrying his beverage.
He was last seen walking south on Lauzon Road.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The suspect is described as a white male who appeared to be in his 40s, about six feet tall with a thin build.
At the time of the crime, he was wearing glasses, blue jeans, a light blue pullover sweater and a purple and yellow baseball cap with a unique multi-coloured pattern.
