Essex County OPP have arrested three male minors in connection with the robbery of a convenience store in Kingsville after Christmas.
The teens are ages 15, 15, and 17. The detachment’s street crime unit said all three will be charged with robbery under the Criminal Code of Canada.
The names of the accused can’t be published due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
OPP made the arrests with the help of Windsor police, Peel Region police, and information from the public.
The incident happened during the morning hours of Dec. 27 at the Mac’s gas station and convenience store at 1568 Seacliff Dr. in Kingsville.
Shortly before 5:45 a.m., three masked males entered the business with weapons and demanded money. At one point in the robbery, all three suspects went behind the store’s counter and surrounded the lone cashier.
Police said the suspects fled with some tobacco products and “a minimal amount of cash.”
