Two Windsor convenience store robberies that happened early Wednesday appear to have been committed by the same suspect: A male in a black mask who brandished a knife.
The first incident happened shortly before 2:20 a.m. at a Mac’s convenience store at 2606 Jefferson Blvd.
The robber entered the store with his face completely covered by a mask. He approached the employee at the counter, drew a knife, and demanded cash.
The robber produced a yellow plastic bag with black lettering and instructed the employee to put money in it.
After a quantity of bills from the cash register were placed in the bag, the robber took the bag and fled.
Less than two hours later, around 4 a.m., Windsor police received a call about another robbery of a Mac’s convenience store, this time at 2675 Lauzon Rd.
Again, the perpetrator was a male who wore a black mask and brandished a knife.
This robber produced a yellow plastic bag with black lettering that appeared identical to the bag used in the previous incident.
After a quantity of cash was put in the bag, the robber took the bag and left. He was last seen on foot heading south on Lauzon Road.
No one was hurt in either robbery.
Investigators believe the same person was responsible for both crimes. The robber was described in each incident as a white male with a slender build, perhaps six-foot-two in height.
